At 7:20 am on Saturday, I woke up to the fire alarm in the hallway. We had to evacuate in our pj's, but luckily I had the good sense to grab the truck keys so we didn't have to stand out in the 36 degree chill.
This lady was giving a demonstration on felting. She wrapped a good size stone with yellow fleece, then with red. Using hot water and dish soap, she squeezed and squeezed the fleece until it was felted. Once felted and dried, she cut around it lengthwise and popped out the stone. The result was a sweet little keepsake box with yellow inside and red outside!
As soon as I saw it, I had to get a picture! There was a shepherdess, too, but I guess she didn't want to be in the photo. Mom certainly seems to love it!
All the cans and bottles on the wall are true antiques. I could have spent an hour looking at all the different products on the wall.
He started with the underbelly, then worked around until there was one piece of fleece left lying on the plywood, then a naked sheep back in the pen.
I can't believe how this sheep only freaked out twice, and not at all when his face was being sheared!
I would have loved to have taken this sheep home. He was so friendly, and his wool was so fluffy!
This little lamb would scratch one whole side on the post, then turn around and get the other. He and his mom were being taken out when I was there.
This was the only way I could show how big some of these sheep were! Some were the size of medium dogs (fully grown), and some were as big as my mother.
When Mom and I rounded the corner, we came upon a huge crowd of bloggers. I didn't even get to play that much bingo because it was so overwhelming.
I wanted to include this one, but the photos just don't do justice to what you actually see going over the hills and coming up on mountains!
I love mountains, so we got plenty of photos. I included this one because I thought the colors were amazing!
